This is meant to be the first of hopefully many attempts at practicing background drawing since I have no experience in it at all.
So yup, here it is.
Characters are from my Blooddrop story.

Good gracious, that thing is BIG.

From the way Thyme's just casually standing next to it, I gather it's not a teka?

I like the style of this, it works nicely.

Oh, it's a teka, this one specifically is named "Ego" he's suppose to be...almost like the next level of teka, smarter than the rest. And it sees Thyme as more of a challenger than something it needs to kill. Ego is more like an actual character, his relationship with Thyme evolves through time, but it'll take awhile before they're near each other and not fighting.

This is awesome. Maybe try making the character line art a color too so they aren't sitting "on top" of the background?

I've always liked having thicker black outlines, but I'll totally try a colour outline for my next background attempt, 'cause I see what you're saying.
